This traditional Saya fabric is a blend of cotton. It was woven in Syria and brought to Palestine. It can be used for multiple purposes (clothes, tapestries, etc.), though the main purpose is to utilize it when creating a traditional Palestinian dress (thobe). We encourage all Tatreez who stitch their thobes in the diaspora to keep this traditional practice thriving.
