This traditional Aghbani is a silk/cotton blend. It was woven in Syria and brought to Palestine. It can be used for multiple purposes, including decor, table runners, tapestries, etc., though the main purpose is to utilize it when creating a traditional Palestinian dress (thobe). We encourage all tatreez to stitch their thobes in the diaspora to keep this conventional practice thriving.
